Onival Beach and Sea Wall

The sea at the hotel’s doorstep

Three hundred metres from the Hôtel Aultia, the sea wall at Onival opens onto a long shingle beach stretching away to the north. It is the ideal place for a walk in the fresh air, facing the Channel and the line of cliffs.

Swimming and activities

The beach is good for swimming and for long walks along the shore. At low tide, mussels and other shellfish can be gathered at the foot of the cliffs. The wide beaches nearby are also used for sand yachting.

The place to be at sunset

Every evening the sea wall offers one of the finest views on the coast: the sun sinking behind the sea and setting the chalk alight. Do wear suitable shoes, as the beach is shingle.
